The patch in KDE causes a thing not to work

source/kde/patch/kde-workspace/kde-workspace.batteryapplet.diff.gz

If compiling KDE with this patch, the KDE's brightness control does not work. If compiling without one, it works fine. This issue covers both stable and current branches. I'm proposing to remove it.

Brightness control has worked for me always, for many versions of KDE. On several laptops, too. I do not see how that patch could influence brightness control.
