The 4.4.9 Kernel is running.......

Installed the 4.4.9 kernel about 40 minutes ago and as I go through my usual routine it is running perfectly.... so far....

Glad to hear although that's not very surprising as it's really just an incremental upgrade.

Working well here too. Slackware 14.2 is going to be another stellar release.

Well, so was 4.4.7, but it gave me USB problems (that were fixed in 4.4.8).

This new kernel should be an important fix for people whose DRI3 was broken with kernel 4.4.8.

Would be good to hear from Nille_kungen what his experiences are with this new kernel. He did report in the kernel bug report that the offending commit has been reverted in the 4.4.9. kernel.

Running 64-bit Huge 4.4.9 + Multilib + VMWare Workstation 12.1.1 + NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-361.42

No issues here.

The upgrade to 4.4.9 made things work as they should.
