using slack 9.1, i downloaded Eterm from linuxpackages in the .tgz file, and when i use the "installpkg" to install it, it says "error, <packagename> does not end in .tgz" but, from what i can tell, it does! the package is Eterm-0.9.2burn-i686-1.tgz, so, what am i doing wrong?
i untarred it using tar xzvf...when i tried to configure it, it said i needed libAST 0.5...so i installed that, but when i try to configure eterm, it says libast isn't installed, or it's installed in a strange place...i checked and libast is installed...how do i make it see libast?
Hi, you can get a package containing Eterm and dependencies from Eterm.org.
The download link is Eterm for Slackware.
Just extract it and run the installation script. Works well for me.
