Teamspeak + alsa 0.9.6

After posting on TS forums 4 the last 3 version and receiving no replies, sorry 1 reply which was it either works or it doesn't, i'm abit p***ed-off. the problems is if i use TS no other app will work with sound at the sametime. I have followed every thread on the TS forums, none have worked 4 me, so its either use TS and have no sounds in game or don't use TS, or dread 2 say it but load windoze. I have a Guillemot Maxi Sound Muse which uses a c-media CM8738 chip. Arts is not running, all the permissions are ok, so what i need 2 know is how can i get 2 programmes 2 use dsp at the same time, the game uses this and TS won't work with any of the other dsp0-4 or adsp0-4 and i can't change the device that the game uses, btw the game is Tacticalops a UT mod which has now been released as a standalone game (doesn't need UT installed). Thx in advance

what desktop are you using? gnome uses ESD (enlightenment sound daemon) for sound and kde uses ARTS. This is probably where the problem lies, try googling for these. There have been some similar questions regarding getting gaim and xmms to play sound at the same time, i think this is on gnome. Do a search on LQ for it. Hope this gets you started, tho i know this is an old post.

Yeah thanx, i use KDE and BlackBox, from what i can gather the problem lies in alsa, seems there is a bug in the code which makes TS lock dsp so no other programme can use it.
