Sylpheed segmentation fault in Slackware -current

I have installed Sylpheed from and now if i press "Compose" or "Reply" button to write mail, then Sypheed crashes, and if i run it from Terminal, then i only get this message:

$ sylpheed
Segmentation fault

Otherwise Sylpheed is working OK but there is no way for me to write any mail

Maybe i could get some pointers on how could i track this problem and maybe solve it?

I could switch to Thunderbird in worst case scenario, but i would really love to fix sylpheed as it is my all time favorite mail client.

thank you in advance for any help on this issue.

I am running 32bit Slackware 13 updated to current, and on custom vanilla kernel.

Your best bet is to do an strace or gdb of it and see what causes the crash.
