You can removed all your LinuxPackages repositories lines. In France, many people say : "If Linux had malwares, it is called LinuxPackages". Guess why. By the way, nobody should advertise people who make
really dumb decisions.
Please note that I have nothing against Jim Simmons (I don't even know him but he seems to be the main LinuxPackages responsible). His idea would probably be a good one if there was a trusted, dedicated team of people who accept only build scripts, verify them and build packages before providing them. But really, providing only third-party submitted, unverified, binary packages is a very bad idea. And yes, since the first time I have installed Linux Slackware, I have never used any LinuxPackages files.
However, it is your Slackware system, you can do whatever you want with it. But honestly, if you really want a Linux system with a powerfull package manager, just use
Debian ! However, the best you can do is to use
checkinstall or
slacktrack first and then, you can learn to make your own packages, it's really easy.
