Now I've installed swaret but can't update it. man swaret wasn't of much help.
bash-2.05b# swaret --update
swaret 1.6.1-3
Network Connection down!
Please, take a look to 'NIC' in /etc/swaret.conf!
My NIC line :
NIC=eth0
Visibly it's looking for a broadband connection. But I don't have one, being stuck with cheap 56k... so what should I put instead of eth0 ? Some tty ? How to determine which ?

Try NIC=ttySHSF0 and not /dev/ttySHSF0, replace hsf0 with your modem type and location.

I tried placing /dev/modem as NIC, but I received the same error message. Putting ppp0 worked alright though ! Thanks a lot ! Now to connect to the net without kppp ....
