SW12.0 full fresh install less KDE and GXine freezes

I have a fresh install of Slackware 12.0 without installing the KDE directory. I have xfce as my default WM. It works fine until I started GXine. It seems to me that it freezes in some time, and whenever I try to make the window larger by dragging the sides.

I also have installed NVIDIA Graphics driver.

so anyone can help?

edit: but using xine works perfectly... any news why this is?

Gzine also freezes on me when I try to enlarge the screen by dragging the frames. This happens in both KDE and xfce4. I did find that using the view

percentage zoom) options work well, however, I do prefer dragging the frames.

thanks for the __confirmation__ pete_bogg. at least im not he only one who is experiencing such a disappointment.

any insights from the others?
