I already talked this issue once but I notice a different behavior and open a new thread.
In Xfce when I open terminal I have latin chars like "ç" and "é", but if launch irssi from that terminal I lose that feature.
Other thing, in that same terminal if I launch xterm all latin chars work and even if I launch irssi from that xterm I have latin chars either.
But if I launch xterm from the Xfce launcher (with a icon in the bottom bar) and go to irssi from it, I lose all the latin chars.
Someone said to me that was a SCIM problem. Should I continue working on that? Or is something else?
Sorry about opening the new thread but I think that is something very weird in this problem.
PS: If I open rxvt in terminal like I do to xterm having the latin chars working, in rxvt nothing works.
My locale is:
And in irssi I have:
/set recode ON
/set recode_out_default_charset ISO_8859-1
/set recode_fallback utf-8
/set recode_autodetect_utf8 ON
/recode add #channel_name ISO_8859-15
