Startx error
 

Hi,

I get an error trying to run startx in slackware 10.2.

Here is the log file:

My graphic card is an "82865G intel i915G graphic card".

How about using a pastebin or just pasting it here in [code] tags?

And is there some reason you are using 10.2 rather than something newer? The version of Xorg that you're using is over four a half years old.

Anyway, back to your actual problem.. Your xorg.conf file appears to be specifying the vga driver. You should be using the intel (or even the i810) driver with that particular GPU though, to be honest, I have no idea how well supported that GPU is with such an ancient version of Xorg.

I liked the older version more, I didn't like some of the new features. Plus its an older computer.

But thanks, I'll give the driver install a try.
