Question startx doesn't work everytime as non root user

I'm running slackware 13.37 with xfce as as my window manager.

startx doesn,t work every time as non root.

I don't know if this will help.
But this didn't start until after I added the user kuroc to the power and plugdev groups.

And on the console I get Xscreensaver can't open display.

Maybe try to delete Xauthority for user kuroc
Login as user kuroc, then
rm .Xauthority

Thank you for the help Cedrik I going to try that if disabling the screen saver doesn't work. I don't have time to test either right now because I have to go somewhere and won't be back until the evening.
