SSH Question

Using SSH/SCP on Slackware 9.1 and whenever I use it, I keep getting this question:

Code:
enter passphrase for key '/home/cmmiller/.ssh/id_rsa':

I hit enter and go on by, but what is this for and I don't remember setting a passwd
for rsa?

thanks

Check out ssh-keygen and it's man page. You can set/unset passwords for keys.
