Spotify on Slackware

Just sharing a link to a page for running Spotify on Slackware:

http://gnuwhatimsaying.com/spotify-o...e-13-37-linux/

I followed the instructions almost as detailed and it seems to work fine. I did however navigate to http://repository.spotify.com/pool/non-free/s/spotify/ myself to grab the latest version (the 64-bit deb in my case) and download that rather than following the wget link. Also, you need to add in a 'cd usr/' and switch to root just before copying the files from the extracted data.tar.gz

hope this helps someone

Kind regards

I agree. This does appear to be an issue.

I suppose you could create a sort of dummy Facebook account in a random name and email if you really wanted to. Depends how much you want it or can be bothered I suppose.

Hi rkfb,

I'm the writer over on GNU What I'm Saying and after seeing this post show up in my analytics I wanted to stop by and say thanks for sharing it.

Also I'll jump on and edit the post to reflect the steps you've mentioned that I missed, thanks for pointing that out as well!

Thanks again!
