Sound Server Error

Hi guys & girls,

I just installed Slack 10 on my machine, but I have a sound problem. It works fine as root, but as a normal user I get this error:

Sound server informational message:

Error while initializing the sound driver:

device: default can't be opened for playback (No such device)

The sound server will continue, using the null output device.

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

put your user in the "audio" group
and/or change the permissions of /dev/dsp and /dev/mixer
so users other than root have access to it............
