great you used the configuration very good. remember the intel sound onboard if it is 7.1 is actually a better chip. If not then it might be nice to use for internet DJ.

no, it is definitely not 7.1 -that is old motherboard, intel dg965ss on i965 chipset.
and apart of that, i want hardware wavetable synthesis also. sadly, advanced gravis is gone ( i have my old Ultrasound PnP ISA souncard ),but i plan to buy audigy Rx for my next computer - looks like PCI bus also going to past - in new chipsets is gone, and there is also PCIe...:\
