Sound only in headphone jac or speaker

Hi,

There`s no sound in headphone jack, if I plug a headphone nothing happens, the speaker doesn`t stop.

BUT if i boot slack with the headphone plugged the opposite happens, the heaphone works but if i unplug it no sound come out from speakers.

Info:

Notebook HP Pavillion DV7 1175NR

Sound card module: snd_hda_intel

I`ve updated or installed all this by slackbuilds:
alsa-utils-1.0.23-x86_64-1
alsa-lib-1.0.23-x86_64-1
alsa-plugins-1.0.23--1_SBo
---jack-audio-connection-kit-0.118.0-x86_64-1_SBo
---libsamplerate-0.1.6-x86_64-1_SBo
---pulseaudio-0.9.10-x86_64-1_SBo
------libatomic_ops-1.2-x86_64-1_SBo
------libsndfile-1.0.20-x86_64-1_SBo

alsa-drive-1.0.23(from source)

Added these lines in /etc/modprobe.d/sound:
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
alias sound-slot-0 snd-hda-intel
options snd-hda-intel model=dell-m4-1

After all that:
# alsaconf
# alsamixer
# alsactl store

After all that the problem continues the same.
I`ve read that the alsa-driver comes with the kernel, so I have to install a knew one to get the last alsa-driver? Or just install like I did works?

Are you on -current? The 2.6.33 kernel on -current caused a similar bug on my computer, I upgraded to 2.6.34 to fix it.

You may neeed to specify the hda model in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa.conf. I had similar problems and was given a fix on the forum by allend. The original thread is here. I had to set this in my /etc/modprobe.d/alsa.conf :
Quote:
options snd-hda-intel model=3stack
There's more information on the models here.

I know the problem isn't exactly like your's but the fix may help as it's related.
