sound issues in Slack 12.1

Hello,

I am a bit of a noob to slackware from Ubuntu and have been searching the forum extensively for a solution to my problem and have not been able to find one.

Here is my deal. I have this sound board:
Multimedia audio controller: Cirrus Logic CS 4614/22/24/30 [CrystalClear SoundFusion Audio Accelerator]

And alsaconf finds the card and configures it. The audio levels are set in alsamixer to about 85% on master. Yet, when I listen to music with Amarok and Juk the sound fades in and out it doesn't play at a constant volume. The card is really a TurtleBeach Santa Cruz (or something like that).

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

This is no longer an issue. There were several things in alsa that were not set properly.
