Sound Card in Slack


i have a SiS integrated soundcard on my mother board, slackware picked up everything (ethernet, serial, ps/2, etc.) except my sound. I am very new to Linux, and would like some help. Thank you

Are you running 9.1 with ALSA? You may just have to run alsamixer and unmute it. Save it with 'alsactl store' - which I think you have to be root to do. Can't remember.
