why don't you log into an ftp mirror server with an ftp client and use the resume feature?

I'm not even gonna ask what browser and ftp client you're using (tho I suspect they have a Gates-ian taint to them).

Do a google search for wget. There's a DOS port of it that will allow you to resume (or continue -c) a download. And yes, it will run under winXP and 2000, too.

Enjoy!

wget -c http://to-my-iso.iso

That would make it resume, if you cancel the download, thats what the '-c' is for.

Re: Some wit (?) Slackware

Have you considered ordering the CD's from Slackware and thereby contributing to a good cause.

I probably have a slower connection than 99.9 percent of the user's and that's what I do. It would take me a week to D/L provided a miracle of staying connected.

Do they offer English 101 at your school?

Was that really necessary?

Personal attacks are not encouraged AT ALL, and in fact are against the Rules you agreed to upon registering. Even "sly" comments like this are consider attacking, especially when they contribute absolutely zero to the overall assistance in the thread.

Please refrain from furthering this, there is no need to reply to my reply, or to h1tman's reply. (However if you have a problem with my response, feel free to bring it up to me privately (via email) or with Jeremy).

If you have more constructive things to ad to the originating reason for the thread, please feel free to do so. However, the 'conflict' stops here.

Thank You.

Did that make you feel any better? I strongly discourage this sort of thing, not only from them originally but a retort like this as well.

Please do not further any attacks made against you by retorting like this, instead either:
a. Ignore it.
b. Report it to a moderator and ignore it.
OR
c. Report it, retort, but with a much nicer retort, something that doesn't attack back. That's makes you wrong as well as the initiating attacker, doesn't help really.

There is no need to reply to this response, take it as information only, not a conversation. (However should there be something about it you feel you NEED to discuss, feel free to contact me privately, or Jeremy)

Thank You.
