Some Dmesg errors on Slackware64 14.0...
1 Attachment(s)
hey guys,
I'm getting some errors and I couldn't find useful info on how to solve then. If any one have some hints I would be very glad. my dmesg output is in the topic... |
Your computer temperature is so high. Can you try to cool it down first? Then see if there are still errors.
|
Where did you saw that? My computer temperature is 42~45 in normal use, and 39~41 in idle...I think that is pretty normal temperature...
|
I would run memtest86+, GIMPS test mode 1, and maybe a smartctl long test.

So which errors are you referring to when you wrote "I'm getting some errors and I couldn't find useful info"? |

I think that I've found the solution for these errors: Code:
[18425.953896] ata1.00: configured for UDMA/133 |

Code:
[19490.885416] [Hardware Error]: Machine check events logged Code:

[ 10.909121] [drm] MTRR allocation failed. Graphics performance may suffer. |
I would recommend upgrading the kernel to 3.4.x or 3.6.x.
It may be a bug in the kernel: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1785211 |
