(solved) 14.2 Network stopped working after update
I installed Slackware 14.2 on Dell Inspiron 17 5000 series laptop. Right after boot into it I installed all updates and rebooted. Now network is gone. Ifconfig shows lo only.
On lspci device is listed as:
If elilo is anything like regular lilo (I'll have to figure this out soon since my next computer will be UEFI), it needs to be run after a kernel update to ensure it's pointing to the correct location on the drive. In this case, you might still be booting your old kernel (since with regular lilo, it uses the physical location on a disk, so even if the file is "removed" as long as it isn't overwritten by another file, it is still on the drive), so when it tries to load the modules for the kernel, the old modules are no longer available.
From my limited reading on the matter, you likely need to rerun eliloconfig to pick up the new kernel.

Yes eliloconfig and reboot fixed issue, I have network working again.
So I will not bother you with my system information files.
Yes after a kernel upgrade, you need to run eliloconfig to copy over the new kernel (and initrd) from /boot to the Slackware ESP (/boot/efi/EFI/Slackware). As an alternate you can also manually copy over the kernel and initrd.
