Softphone for slackware

I am looking for a softphone that works well on slackware. I'm considering using SIPphone as a provider, but you can recommend others.

I would really like SMS support, and video support is a plus.

Who uses VoIP and would like to make a recommendation?

you can try ekiga ( I haven't try it) or just skype. Use static version if you can't find the dependencies.

I used xlite, ekiga, linphone. All perfectly worked for me with my russian voip-provider sipnet.ru. See table sip-phone http://wiki.sipnet.ru/index.php/%D0%...82%D0%BE%D0%B2 and here plugin for firefox http://www.mozillavoip.com/Firefox_Voip.html (my ff crashed with it)

p.s. if you would try linphone don't forget create folder ~/.gnome2

..sorry for my but english, i learn it =)

My intention is certainly to avoid skype.

Has anyone used SMS in these programs?
