crealkiller175 LQ Newbie Registered: Jul 2002 Location: new york Distribution: slackware 8.0 Posts: 19 Rep:	snort error keeps comeing just installd snort 1.9.0 and im getin this errow msg whrn run as root. snort Initializing Output Plugins! Log directory = /var/log/snort Initializing Network Interface eth0 using config file /root/.snortrc Initializing Preprocessors! Initializing Plug-ins! Parsing Rules file /root/.snortrc +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Initializing rule chains... ERROR: Unable to open rules file: /root/.snortrc or /root//root/.snortrc Fatal Error, Quitting.. please help if u know any one who migh know the answer please link them to this thread.
