Slowdown when using forums with Kde (Konqueror)

Something funky has happened to my webbrowsing experiences
with KDE.

I´m running Slackware 10.2 on a 2 ghz computer
with KDE 3.4 installed.

But when I´m typing (like in this web-form on linuxquestions)
right now...It´s freezing and waiting 10-30 seconds
before I get to write anything.

Another issue is that when I´m cut´n´pasting text it will
also freeze 30 seconds before the cursor comes back
It freezes the whole browser (not KDE) but the browser.

Any ideas?

I had that happen yesterday while browsing the forums with Mozilla. The message in the status bar was something about waiting for one of the ad sites. I put it down to the ridiculous proxy setup where I work.

Just a wild guess, but I wonder if this is IPV6 related? An easy test is to edit /etc/profile.d/kde.sh:

#!/bin/sh
# KDE additions:
KDEDIR=/opt/kde
PATH=$PATH:$KDEDIR/bin
KDE_NO_IPV6=1 <--add this
export KDEDIR PATH KDE_NO_IPV6 <--modify this line to export the env. variable

Restart X/KDE. No guarantees, just a wild guess.
