[SOLVED] Slow Lilo

I got a new laptop Asus K50IJ and put Slackware 13 on it. I noticed that after I choose image to boot in Lilo it takes ca. 30 seconds to load.

When I used grub from another distro and added Slackware there, it loads immediately now.

Again, when I added another distro image to Slackware`s Lilo, it also started to load very long.

Any idea why is Lilo so sluggish?

Try adding the "compact" option in /etc/lilo.conf's global options and see what you get.
