Explanation: wrongly used in copy-out mode this option prevents cpio to work and as a consequence the initrd is not built, which causes the kernel panic.
I should have stated that more clearly in post #64 with a warning, sorry for the time you spent investigating.
If all goes well I'll upload a new version today (Friday afternoon in Costa Rica).
Oh, and congrats for your 91%

Line 298 of slint.sh, just remove the "-m " option of the cpio command
Ok, got it!

No, it's my fault for not reading your post properly.

Thank you, but there's still work to be done. The whole thing must be reviewed and tested. Thankfully AlvaroG has already spotted and fixed some errors. We're getting there.
I was testing slint-20130503 and had a problem trying to display the prompt mode help screen. It seems that the setup script is looking for /usr/lib/setup/SetPROMPTHelp but the file is actually named /usr/lib/setup/SeTPROMPThelp. See the attached image.
I'm already registered in Transifex and if I can help with Spanish (from Mexico) just let me know. But let me read all of this because I don't know yet how this "team translation" works.
EDIT: OK long read. I can help with Mexican Spanish (Español hablado en México) es_MX.utf8 keymap la-latin1.map. Only if there is a chance to do "another translation" for this language or maybe help with es_CR or es_ES. I have not a lot of time because of work but I can help.

Thanks for offering to help, ecoslacker. I'd suggest you get in touch with Diantre and AlavaroG via Transifex, proposing to review their translations first and figure out doing that if a third locale for Spanish would really be useful and worth the work that would need.
PS while writing this I was notified by Transifex of your request of joining existing teams for es_CR and es_ES.

Thanks, I was accepted in the es_CR and this locale is very similar to es_MX so maybe we can use this one for Mexico. I'm doing a review of the translation in Transifex right now.
