Slackware64-current Xfce-4.6.2 backlight control

Hello, all! After the last upgrade in current the last week, i loosed the backlight control with the special keys on the laptop. The problem occur only in Xfce, and there is not a problem in KDE-4.8 (alienbob's).
When i press the key to highlight one or more times, the indicator shows full light, but that is not real. The light still on its minimal level, as setted to be, and cannot be increased. Does someone experience the same problem, or can someone give an idea?
Thanks in advance!

The system: Slackware64-current, up to date; kernel-3.2.2/-3.2.4; Xfce-4.6.2.

Hi, all! I have just upgraded Xfce to 4.8 from rworkman. It works well and the problem with backlight keys disappeared. Thank for your attention! It seems i was the last user of Xfce-4.6.2 on current.

Off topic:

The reason to stay far from 4.8 was the lack of keyboard switcher/indicator, since xfce4-xkb-plugin is incompatible. This is a nuisance, if you have a laptop without CAPSLOCK indicator and more likely when use more the two layouts. So i found some programs like qxkb, which has some mistake in its code, and works, but is able to change keyboard layout globally only, not for a single window, and fbxkb, which can be compiled only with a patch from Salix OS, but also works globally.
So at the end i found gxneur, a nice program at the first look. It has some additional features (not all of them works here), but can change the layout per window. The only remark for now is that it switches a little bit slowly.
