slackware64-current and Amarok2 issues ...

Anybody else seeing the following problem with Amarok2 2.2 on Slackware64-current?

I'm adding/subscribing to podcasts in Amarok2, but every time i exit and get in again, it seems the podcasts i subscribed to did disappear. I tried to search in some config files, but could not find any place where the lists of subscribed podcasts is residing. I'm thinking about an upgrade of one of the libs is missing, but ldd on /usr/bin/amarok does not give me any unresolved libraries.

Yesterday evening i also figured that i am unable to add bookmarks in amarok2, sigh.

So i'm now thinking that maybe amarok got compiled with the wrong options?

Can someone please confirm these problems? And maybe even have an idea to iron them out?

TIA!

Marc

well.. amarok 2.2.0 was compiled against qt-4.5_0bd8418 and kde 4.2.4 .. i think and against mysql-5.0.84. maybe this is the cause of your problems.. or maybe not.

I've tested this with http://abc.net.au/rn/podcast/feeds/science.xml and it seems to save just fine

It saves them in a mysql database under ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/mysqle/amarok/podcastchannels.*

Thanks for these replies guys!

So apparently it seemed my slackware64-current was not that current: i checked and found a tools called slackpkg, and used it to upgrade to the _real_ current situation.

And the best thing happened: Amarok2 is working now!

Regs,

Marc
