Slackware64 14.1 (Linode)

All,

I'm having difficulty with installing the nginx webserver on my Slackware Linode. The Slackware image for the Linode seems to be stripped down to the bare essentials. I have installed several additional base slackware packages but am still unable to compile the nginx slackbuild. The error is as follows. Thank you.

Code:
nginx-1.4.1/auto/cc/clang
nginx-1.4.1/auto/cc/acc
nginx-1.4.1/auto/cc/bcc
nginx-1.4.1/auto/cc/ccc
nginx-1.4.1/auto/cc/conf
nginx-1.4.1/auto/cc/gcc
nginx-1.4.1/auto/cc/icc
nginx-1.4.1/auto/cc/msvc
nginx-1.4.1/auto/cc/name
nginx-1.4.1/auto/cc/owc
nginx-1.4.1/auto/cc/sunc
checking for OS
 + Linux 3.12.9-x86_64-linode x86_64
checking for C compiler ... not found

./configure: error: C compiler cc is not found
I'm not certain I have every dependency installed, but if someone could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate the help. Thank you.

You might also take a look at this thread, which discusses: installing nginx on Linode.

For the record, this is what I needed to get nginx going on Linode:

Quote:
kernel-headers
glibc
libmpc
libxml2
libxslt
the development disk (d/*)

Yup, I dealt with this exact issue not too long ago. Instructions are in the thread linked above. Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.
