Slackware Virtual Machine
 

Just in case anyone is interested, I have created a prebuilt Slackware 10.2 virtual machine for VMware, which you can run with their free VMware Player. It includes most packages that would be installed by default, including X and KDE. X Windows has been configured and the VMware tools are installed. Otherwise nothing has else been done and its ready for you to configure.

Go to http://slackware.centaurivm.org to download it.

Unless you possess some extreme compression software, I think the link on that page is supposed to say 570 MB, not KB.

Many thanks, I was going to wait until Slackware 11.0 and then try and create an image, but I don't need to now.

Can the window size be changed to 1024x768 ?

Yes, you can change the Windows size by changing the X config. Be sure to select the vmware video adapter if needed, do not use your actual video card.
