the minimum requirements are very conservative.

They are more like the minimum requirements for it to run at a fast speed.

I've got Debian Testing on a Toshiba Satellite 220CS - P133/48MB RAM. I use X, Fluxbox, irssi, mutt, dillo and Links2 plus lots of xterms. It's wifi enabled and it is actually my favourite box atm---just because it does no more than it needs to The install was from a net install from floppies.

i am running a P1, 32ram, 1gig HD

and it runs nicely as a server
