Slackware + Squid

Has anyone ever compiled squid on slackware 9.1? I get this error in my cache.log.

2004/02/06 13:49:02| statInit: Initializing...
2004/02/06 13:49:02| assertion failed: StatHist.c:93: "((int) floor(0.99L + statHistVal(H, 0) - min)) == 0"

I compiled Squid 2.5-STABLE4 on Slack 9.1. No problems at all, it is possible to compile. But about the error you are getting, I can't be of any help there.

I'm not using non default options. I have read on the FAQ or somewhere similar that it might be a kernel issue by chance? Thanks for the urls I'll take a look and see if it helps.
