Slackware specific tools and package sets?
Hello.
Just thought if anyone knew of some projects (or tools) specifically put together for slackware -- things which are not available through the official slackware packages, and slackbuilds.org. Some things i know; sbopkg msb (mate slackbuilds) Dropline GNOME (gnome slackbuilds) slackpkg+ Are there many other projects like msb for large package sets? Mostly out of curiosity. Slackware specific tools would be great to know also. Thanks. |

You could also add the Salix repositories (14.1 i486 / 14.1 x86_64) as a large source of packages that will run on Slackware. While you are at it you could add AlienBOB's general package repository along with Ktown and multilib.

Ok, shameless self promotion but here are a couple of "Slackware specific tools", albeit they are very minor, trivial things, not really in the same league as most of the stuff mentioned thus far.
I suspect that the vast majority of Slackware users would have zero interest in either of these but hey, you never know. ;) |
Thanks for the replies! Lots of things to check out.

You can also find a lot a good stuff looking at the Slackware contributor / developer pages. Many are dormant and or discontinued but still worth a look.

Additionally I didn't see any mention cinnamon or trinity: https://github.com/willysr/csb http://git.trinitydesktop.org/cgit/scripts/tree <- http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...0/#post5073526 Edit: CSB was mentioned |
