Slackware Problem with Laptop

Hi Everyone:

I have 2 days with my new HP Pavillion DV1000, but I'm wondering to know if this happened to someone here, I have encounterred some strange spontaneous shutdowns.

Today I installed VMware and when I was installing WinXP home edition, the computer frezee for 2 seconds and then it turned off. I tried two times and the two times it turned off, also when the screen saver started, after about 10 minutes the computer turned off, and this happened one time on WINXP. I got some logs from my Slackware 10.

Has anyone got a clue?

If you are booting with lilo try booting with

YOURBOOTOPTION noacpi

if this works append /etc/lilo.conf with append="noacpi"

This may or may not work, but it is a starting point.
