Slackware (official) packages search site

Hello everybody!

I was bored one evening and after talking with a friend who is also a "slacker" i decided to write my own little package search tool.
After a while i realized someone else might also need it, so here it is:

http://packages.slackverse.org

p.s. I'm new to this forum, but since i'm using Slackware for over a decade i decided to finaly register and give my two cents back to the comunity if i can :P

Enjoy the page, and see you arround :)

Nice job, thanks!

A firefox search engine addon would be appreciated. :p
Btw, which sites are indexed/searched from using this engine? There's one called: slackfind.net which searches from almost every slack repo including alienBob's.

Very nice. Good simple layout. I like the randomized Bob pic too.

Looks pretty much like the package/file browser tool that disappeared online a couple of months ago. Nice to see one available again. :)

Yes, I agree with Woodsman. I am glad to see an online Slackware file search utility. I like how it also works with Slackware64 repository. From what I remember the old search utility didn't work with the Slackware64 repository.

This one is only for official packages that come with slackware.
The plan was to also make an unofficial one, so that everything is in one place, but since slackfind covered that for now its not really needed i guess.

As far as that firefox plugin goes, i will look into it :)

My initial announcement is here: http://slackverse.org/

Thanks for the plugin. Works for me.
:hattip:

EDIT: I would like to link the site in 'Slackware-Links'. More than just SlackwareŽ links!

Ok, since there was some confusion, i put a button for that extension on the bottom of the page, and also firefox will autodetect plugin presence and offer to install it... :)
