Slackware man pages

I had only seen this in the custom maded transmission man pages so far but today i also noticed it in cal(1)
When envoking some man pages a message like the following appears:
Code:
/usr/share/groff/1.20.1/tmac/doc.tmac:3375: bad character definition
Anyone else get similar behaviour or know whats to blame?
Maybe its related to UTF-8 ?
