I'm pretty new to Linux (done a few RH 5.2 installations + messed around a bit) and after reviewing the most popular distros I've decided to install Slackware (going to have to dual-boot with WinXP) as it seems to have the most educational value.

Although there's plenty of documentation on the web concerning the installation/use of distros like RH/Mandrake I can't seem to find anything really useful (e.g. newbie guide) concerning Slackware. Therefore, before I start installing, I wanted to ask you guys if you can recommend any websites, books etc.

If you poke around in this forum, you'll find quite a few resources that people find popular. As for tips you find online, unless they specifically label a distro (and even then often it'll apply, unless it's RH), it will generally work for Slackware.
