Well, I didn't even write up a complete SlackBuild, my only three lines besides unpacking the source and switching to that folder were

./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib64 --mandir=/usr/man
make install DESTDIR=/path/to/folder
The makepkg line is all that is missing here to get a minimal package, all other steps like adding a slack-desc file or copying doc files left out for testing.
