Slackware current slackpkg problem

Last night i tried to upgrade my slackware box, but I started while I was logged in KDE. While looking through the Changelog and slackpkg was doing his job, I realized that some KDE, xorg files needed to be upgrade, and I stopped the upgrade, closed KDE and returned to login shell.
When I tried to run upgrade again, I get this errors:

Code:

Some programs are broken, complaining about missing libraries.

Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Were you following -current before, or was this an upgrade from 12.2-stable?

There have been some changes in Slackpkg and pkgtools since 12.2, so you might have an older version of these packages, not capable of updating the latest packages.

Another problem might be that you aborted in the middle of an update. Any idea which package was being updated when toy aborted, or were you still in the menu of slackpkg?

You updated slackpkg without merging /etc/slackpkg/slackpkg.conf.new . Merge the .new file and rerun slackpkg

Also run slackpkg update again.

It is a slackware current, installed a week before Slackware 13 became RC1. I don't remember exactly the package when I canceled.

@XGizzmo: there is no /etc/slackpkg/slackpkg.conf.new

I tried removing slackpkg and reinstalling, but no luck

hi,

just wanted to add that '-dialog=off' fixed my 'slackpkg upgrade anypackage' issue which had previously resulted in the same set of error messages.

i'd canceled mid update as well.. so two questions remain unanswered for me:

1. why would turning dialog off avoid these errors ..i can't imagine that they're at all related..
2. and how do you officially 'reset' things after doing something as seemingly innocent as canceling mid upgrade ..i'd tried clearing out cache dir, updating package lists, gpg keys ..i'd even swapped mirrors ..there must be something more intuitive one could do than '--dialog=off'?!

XGizzmo - thanks though.
