slackware current kde 4.6 (alienbobs pkgs) startup error:kcminit seg fault)

I was running kde 4.5.5 on current but when I tried upgrading to 4.6 using alienbobs ktown packages I keep getting a kcminit seg fault on startup at which point I see a blank black screen..
happens at every login.

I can ctrl-alt-del to console so the window manager is responsive..

all the deps are installed, turning hal on/off doesn't help either...

this are the modules that get loaded ... unfortunatelly I can't test each module
individually from xfce...I wish I could turn them off individually without access to kde

sh-4.1$ kcminit --list
QGtkStyle was unable to detect the current GTK+ theme.
kcmaccess
khotkeys
keys
style
cursortheme
khtml_plugins
emoticons
bell
mouse

anyways thanks
