Slackware-current KDE 4.3 Possible Bug !!!!

Here is the issue im having and am wondering if anyone else is also experiencing the same thing. When i log in as root from the CLI and startx, I am able to right click on the desktop and go to Appearance Settings and under Desktop Activity i select folder view and am able to see a home folder and a trash bin appear on my desktop.
After i add a user and try the same thing with any user i add , the only thing that shows up on my desktop is the screen-configurations.xml from my home folder (or anything else that is currently in my home folder).
Anyone have any idea whats causing this or how to fix this issue ?
I been searching the net like crazy but im not getting any information on this problem.

I saw this screen-configuration.xml a while with KDE4.2.4 but after deleting it several times, customizing and playing with the plasma and plasmoid-settings, it went away and never came back.

Maybe a buggy default configuration... I don't know.

Firstly current is presently with KDE 4.2.4 - not 4.3.

I have noticed this. The "other" users apart from my primary user just show whatever is in that users ~/ directory whereas my first user shows /home and /trash directory icons. I've tried going to "folder view settings" on my right-click desktop but no fix here.

This also happens with other distros I run KDE4 in VM's so it's not a Slackware bug but KDE4 itself if anything. KDE4 is still very much a beta release and has lots of little quirks still in it so don't expect it to be rock solid. As well I'm no expert in KDE anyway but can see some niggley problems with it.

Thank you for pointing that out, m still not sure why i was under the impression it was 4.3 ..

I'm just kinda glad its not an isolated problem with my current setup.
Thank you for your feedback.
