Slackware-current (aug) upgrade to slackware 13?

I use Slackware-current (aug). And wonder if i get the "real" slackware 13 if i run slackpkg upgrade-all?

Yes, then just change your release to 13.0 stable. (You might need to wait to change it, due to some mirrors not having the 13.0 directory tree completely set up)

Interject 08-28-2009 04:59 AM

I can't find any mirror that has the 13.0 directory tree yet. D:

If you're using slackpkg, just change your mirror from current to 13 and you'll be ready for when they catch up.
Oops, bassmadrigal already said it.

Code:

cat /etc/slackware-version

mlangdn 08-28-2009 08:04 AM

After I ran upgrade-all this morning, the version is still 13.0.0.0

I rebooted afterwards.

brianL 08-28-2009 08:43 AM

Mine's 13.0.0.0.0. Have you missed a zero, or have I got an extra one?

mlangdn 08-28-2009 08:45 AM

I probably missed a zero. May have been a dead cat layin' on it.

bassmadrigal 08-28-2009 08:46 AM

The /etc/slackware-version has shown 13.0 since this update:

Code:

Tue Aug 11 01:04:25 CDT 2009
a/etc-13.0-noarch-1.txz: Upgraded.
Added root to power, netdev, and scanner groups in /etc/group.

I'm still running -current and also have version 13.0.0.0.0..

Wonder what it shold say after the upgrade to the "real" slackware 13?
