Slackware Cluster

Just wondering if anyone here is running a beowulf with Slackware? I'm aquiring a 4 node cluster running RH and I want to rid myself of that distro. Just looking for tips or suggestions with Slack and clusters.

This is one good way to cluster linux systems...

But if it works... why fix it?

It's just an older setup and was built in '98. Not being a fan of RH is the main reason for the wanting of change.

What do you plan on doing with 6 year old computers clustered together? I have a 6 year old Gateway 2000(200mhz MMX), but it's solo, no cluster.

I'm the last person to criticize this project, but distributed.net would run just as fast, if not faster, by simply running separate instances on each machine, wouldn't it?

Yes it would, hence why I'm not going to be breaking up the processes over the clusters and just installing it on the individual nodes. Just meant I'm going to be doing that to use the cluster for now.

Ends up that the cluster is only 1 1/2 years old a consists of 4 dual processor blade servers. So, this should be a fun cluster and I'm just going to keep RH on it.
