How do you properly set up alsa with 2.6 kernels in Slackware?
Which packages do you need (I think I can remove the alsa-driver package, do I need the alsa-oss package)?
I have tried to compile my soundcarddriver into the kernel (2.6.11.7), but alsaconf doesn't find the card, if I compile it as modules, everything seems to work.
Before login, I get this message:

I know this has to do something with /etc/rc.d/rc.alsa. Do I need this file with a 2.6 kernel?
