Question Slackware 9.1 - Samba! help me please!


Slackware 9.1 - Samba! help me please!
Hey! i got a little problem with Samba, i have configurated it, but when i'm trying to start it I'll get this error:



root@niron:/# smbstatus

Samba version 2.2.8a
Service uid gid pid machine
----------------------------------------------

Failed to open byte range locking database
ERROR: Failed to initialise locking database
Can't initialise locking module - exiting



What is wrong? and what can I do to fix it?
p.s. I am little bit noob in linux/slack, just to let you all know

Check permisions.
