Slackware 9.1 and WUSB11 ver 2.6


Hello . I am looking for some help on getting my WUSB11 ver 2.6 to work with Slackware ver 9.1. I need complete directions.

search google for the atmel driver, download it, read the README file that comes with it, and compile it/install it. and u will need the kernel source, which should have been installed if u selected the K package in teh slack install.

Im now confused on what to do after the make commands. Anyone know?

if u know which drivers or modules it compiled, type insmod xxxxx.
or u could type make install. then, type "ifconfig (the device name like eth0) <ur ip addres> netmask <ur netmask address> up"
then type "iwconfig eth0(or ur device) essid "Ur network name""
and then type "route add default gw <ur rouer address>"
then if that works, type all these commands into /etc/modules.conf or /etc/modprobe.conf. dont type the quotes except for the ones around ur network name, leave those there.
