i want to use a crypto filesystem on my new slackware 9.1 but how can i do that? i think 9.1 has a crypto patch allready in the kernel,or? if so,how can i use it? or i need things like loop-aes?

Kernel 2.4.22, included with slackware 9.1 has crypto support, and so all that is required is to use a kernel with cryptoloop support and the desired ciphers either built in or available as modules.

The file system can then be created as described at the CryptoAPI site (http://www.kerneli.org)

The above link is showing a kind of protest and couldn't find anything about CryptoAPI.

Code:
insmod cryptoapi
insmod cipher-twofisch
works fine, now i want to you as file as crypt-container

Code:
dd if=/dev/urandom of=cryptofile bs=1M count=5
losetup -e twofish /dev/loop0 cryptofile

Sorry, my original reply was incorrect. The kernel does still need a patch applied for cryptoloop support. Either ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kerne...p-hvr-2.4.22.0 or
ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kerne...-jari-2.4.22.0 should be OK.
