Hello RacicalDreamer,

My Computer is connect to an arris cable modem their is no router. The arp protocol seems
to keep going on and on.

I think its probably internet traffic. The internet is a chatty place even when you are just connected to it. I'm not a network administrator/security expert. I have a router and my wireshark was silent until I loaded up firefox. Maybe someone more knowledge than me will chime in

Hello Racical Dreamer,

I just open wineshark and start monitoring eth0 the arp protocol is going off every second. And i dont have anybrowser open. Anyways thanks for your help.

Because you are connected to the internet and not behind a router your computer is going to talk to other computers just by being connected. You don't need to have a browser open.
