Slackware 14.2 fresh installation - WiFi password prompt after every restart

Hello Slackers,

i have freshly installed the Slackware 14.2. During the installation i chose that the network configuration should be managed by NetworkManager. At first logon as a regular user i had problems connecting to the WiFi, but somehow it worked later. After the first restart the computer was not able to connect automatically. I had to enter the password once again in order to be able to write this post. Any suggestions how to make it permanent? Do i need to enter the password as root?

thanks!

I believe you need to enable something like "All users can connect to this" (don't have it right in front of me to verify). It's a known bug with Network Manager.

glupa4e,

Right click the Networkmanager icon-----> Click on edit connections----->Select your wifi hot spot----->Click on edit----->Click the General tab----->Make sure All users may connect to this network and Automatically connect to this network when it is available is selected----->Save

Done. :)
