Similar here. I've only uploaded about 11GB, and folks keep taking a sip here, sip there. I think it means the torrents are being well taken care of.

hrmm, i'm not showing any seeds or peers... using transmission as my client, however there has been some activity... is this the case for anyone else?
|
Do you have DHT enabled? It's always been hit or miss if the trackers work for me (using Transmission as well).
But, today things seem to be working fine. Tracker 1 and 2 are both showing over 300 seeders and 7 peers (tracker 3 doesn't seem to be up right now). |

Same here ~10GB (64bit), ~11GB (32bit) from home connection since release day. I see hundreds of seeders.
I added the 64bit torrent to a fast server a few days ago (15th) and it's shared 7.6GB (in 5 days). I also see 332 seeders on transamrit tracker 1 and 326 on tracker 2 (none on tracker 3). Edit: I have DHT off. When it was on I would see this regularly; Tracker: [No DHT nodes available for peer search.] |
My Transmission server displays over 100GB upload already (I added the Slackware64 torrent right after release, IMHO 32 bit is for special use cases though I didn't include that) and currently 6 peers downloading. That mostly fits with previous Slackware releases traffic-wise I could observe (I have no doubt that it will be Terabyte traffic within a year). Right in this moment my server is delivering 230kB/s download rate for people willing to download Slackware.
All this with official Slackware torrents of course. |
maybe of interest to the german (talking) people , there is an mirror witch i have seen nowhere mentioned bevor ...
it did rsync and http requests and is one of the biggest internet provider in germany http://mirror.1und1.de/info.html slackware is found here: http://mirror.1und1.de/linux/distributions/slackware rsync://mirror.eu.oneandone.net/slackware |
This is why I like torrents, some people are nice.

I have an RPi1 seeding all the 14.2 torrents with rtorrent. I already uploaded about 2.5 GB of each one.
And other machine (x86) seeding also all the 14.2 torrents with rtorrent. The lowest ratio is 4.50 and the highest is 5.57. |
Just checking in .. still seeding. Uploaded 41.5GB so far.
http://ciar.org/ttk/public/rtorrent....2016-11-15.png Those error messages don't seem to be preventing my participation. The ratios keep creeping upward, so someone out there is getting data. |
Joining the seeding crowd. Will seed 14.2 until next release.

Hi there i dont know if someone had made the follow suggestions before. but i want make some suggestions for the DVD Version (64 Bits) :
1 - Include the MultiLib / 32 Bits Compatibility with installation and "chroot" of "32 Bits" 2 - Include anothers Desktop Environtment like : Lxqt , Mate and Enlightment 3 - Include the QT5 libs, not Plasma5, because of this i waste days trying to compile it, first QT5 , and GHC , never compile on my pc, i dont know why. 4 - Include slpkg like Package Manager, is very ease to use, and resolve dependencies, obviusly including the Slackware 14.2 (Stable) like a Default Mirror. 5 - PreInclude some libraries like : openal, sdl1.2, sdl2, ffmpeg, smpg, portmidi, and some themes with : GTK2~3, QT4~5 support (i know is very hard to find Complete Set of Themes) , medit like text editor. i say that because during install i just select "Xfce Desktop..." my favorite Desktop . but dont include that libraries, and i go to compile the mayor part of libraries and codecs from "Slackbuilds.org" In the begining i dont know the existence of "slpkg" , i try with a lot of Package Managers for Slackware like : slapt / gslapt, slackpkg/+, sbopkg, compat32, etc . . . but just sbopkg resolves dependencies, but just allow install one package per time. with slpkg : resolve dependencies, allow multiple packages to install or remove it, allow add multiples repositories, and can upgrade the existent package from an specific repository, with : slpkg repo-enable i just add : sbo -> Slackbuilds.org Source Codes to Compile slonly -> Slackwares.org Precompile Binaries multi -> Slackware 32 Bits Repository manual add: slpkg64 repo-add slwr64 http://mirrors.slackware.com/slackwa...ckware64-14.2/ -> i take this from the Slackware site like an Official Mirror. And please on the Installer, change the default option when add HardDisk / Partition to fstab to "DO NOTHING / Not Format" instead Format, because of that when i add my Data Hard Disk partition i format it by accident ( i lost 700GB of data ) . Basically is make Slackware64 more "Out-The-Box" distribution :D WEll that is all i want to say for my suggestions for Slackware P.D : I am seeding both version of DVD Installer of Slackware 14.2 |
